Find out more about programme alumni, Studio Sam Causer.
Studio Sam Causer are a Kent based architecture company who joined the Create South East programme for our very first cohort of creative businesses. Since then, not only have they gone on to find their own success, but they’ve served as advocates and role models within the programme, attending a variety of our programme showcases and Creative UK events.
Studio Sam Causer are an RIBA accredited Conservation Architecture practice specialising in the adaptation of complex, often historically-sensitive sites that support contemporary life.

Their work combines interests in social behaviour with conservation philosophy, believing that architecture can both record and mould daily human interaction and wider political systems. They work with homeowners, cultural bodies, councils, and develop innovative self-directed research projects.
Their team holds a strong interest in sustainable resource management, food politics and urbanism.
Growing with Create South East
“The Create South East programme has allowed one of our studio’s self-directed projects to blossom into a viable and funded business proposal, diversifying our architectural services, whilst proposing a profitable, new, bio-circular economy with high environmental and socio-economic impacts.
The Programme provided incredible insight on how to seek out and secure both private and public funding, as well as providing access to a strong network of experts and supporters. We have expanded our team, secured fruitful partners and learnt a great deal from the course curriculum and pitch practice. The mentorship has been a remarkable resource that has offered strong support, confidence and awareness as we navigate the tricky world of investment.”
