Meet our programme alumni!

The Create South East programme was launched in 2023 and has so far supported six cohorts and over 100 creative businesses in their growth journey. We hope to continue championing these businesses as they move on to their next steps, and look forward to seeing them thrive. Film & TV

Blisstopia Productions was set up in 2020 by British-Canadian writer and producer, Gareth Strachan. Blisstopia has created and produced a variety of titles such as miRights(2020), Myalogue TV, and miBOTS (2021). With a specialist focus on animation, comedy, drama and science fiction, we also produce a small amount of non-scripted work in development in terms of grass-roots documentaries and printed pop art and iconography.

“The Create South East course allowed me to take a necessary step back from the constant, often scatter-gun, hustle of running a small business. It gave us the time and space to develop a clear strategy and narrow down our focus in terms of the growth areas, shifting into the background some of the proposals with less potential.”

Gareth Strachan, Founder

CreaTech

We are a micro company of one employee and several freelancers, working on a Public Health project across three cities in the UK. We create place-based interventions designed to improve breastfeeding rates locally and nationally using creative tools such as site specific installation, public art, photography exhibitions and a rich digital programme.

Over the course of several sessions we learnt to free up our minds and encounter new ways of thinking about what it is to be a creative business. We went from being slightly apologetic and confused about exactly why we were doggedly pursuing goals, to wanting to shout from the rooftops about them.”
