Meet our programme cohorts!

Introducing our fourth cohort of incredible creative businesses. Joining us in June of 2024, cohort 4 is our largest cohort yet. An exciting mix of businesses from across the region and sub-sectors including music, fashion, radio and performing arts. We will be supporting and championing our programme businesses wherever possible and we look forward to sharing their journey’s! Here is a run-down of our exceptional businesses:

A New Icon (Advertising & Marketing)

A new way of sports sponsorship for athletes, brands and fans.

We are able to tap into every subculture, including unique interests and one-of-a-kind passions. Global or niche, A New Icon is your sponsorship platform.

Afu Namb(Fashion)

Afu Namb is a creative atelier specialising in bespoke garments. We work closely with our clients to create unique, one-of-a-kind pieces that are tailored to their personal style. Our team of experienced fashion stylists and designers use a combination of traditional techniques and modern technology to bring our clients’ visions to life.

AndAlso Improv (Performing Arts)

AndAlso is an improv company founded by two of the most experienced improvisers in the UK. Our classes combine the unbridled joy and practical benefits of improvisation. We run weekly classes and courses in Brighton and online, as well as longer retreats and intensives.

Blisstopia Productions (Film & TV)

Blisstopia Productions is an independent production company, founded by Gareth Strachan – a neurodiverse writer, producer and creator – which he set up in 2020 to create and develop scripted projects for the TV, Film and Digital Industry.

Brighthelmstone Promotions (Music)

Specialising in Americana music, we promote shows in Brighton, Hassocks and more broadly.

In addition to promoting and marketing shows, the team also has experience in music event production and stage management.

Brightside Publishing (Publishing)

Brightside Publishing produces six free community print magazines across East Kent, including the Margate Mercury and the Whitstable Whistler.

Chalk Productions (Film & TV)

Chalk Productions works with the best filmmakers in the business to tell innovative and real life human stories that touch the hearts of audiences.

Clueit Webb (Interior Design & Upholstery)

Clueit Webb Interiors is a bespoke Interiors company based in Margate, Kent. We specialise in interior design, bespoke reupholstery, soft furnishings, exclusive textile ranges, made to order/vintage furniture, in this capacity we work with both residential and commercial clients throughout the South East and London.

Drop Dead Films (Film & TV)

At Drop Dead Films we focus on the darker aspects of genre, horror, thriller and action. With an award-winning, in-house writing team, we enjoy telling stories with depth which inform, scare and entertain.

Fawn & Thistle (Design)

Fawn & Thistle is a British purveyor of fine and fun paper goods and gifts. Founded in 2013 by illustrator and stationery geek Kirsten McNee, the Fawn & Thistle collection of stationery, kitchenware and gifts aim to make you smile and connect with loved ones.

Funny Women (Performing Arts)

Funny Women is a leading not for profit community interest company empowering women to perform, write and create comedy, founded by Lynne Parker 22 years ago. The beating heart of the organisation is the Funny Women Awards, where comedy performers, writers and creators compete for in five categories.

GoPhysics (Ed-Tech)

Creators of complete learning packages made from creative visuals that communicate complex information clearly and in engaging ways.

Immersives (Animation & VFX)

Immersives Group Ltd is a pioneering creative company dedicated to transforming the landscape of location-based entertainment. Specialising in immersive experiences, the company harnesses cutting-edge technology and innovative storytelling to create unforgettable moments.

Kalikas Armour (Fashion)

Kalikas Armour is a British luxury slow fashion brand, creative consultancy and construction studio. Specialising in direct-to-client, made-to-measure garments, select RTW collections and cross disciplinary collaborations.

Kult Media (Radio & Audio)

Kult Media is a podcast production and content creation company that helps small businesses and creative entrepreneurs amplify their brand’s voice. With over 17 years of industry experience, we offer bespoke coaching, professional audio production, and comprehensive content solutions.

Main Media (Video Production)

Modish Muslimah (Fashion)

Modish Muslimah is a modest fashion discovery platform. We curate modest fits from top brands and make it available on a single platform.

Puppets with Guts (Performing Arts)

We create new, spectacular large-scale puppetry. At Puppets With Guts, we are creators of the extraordinary. We craft large-scale puppetry with hope, fun, and creative insight. Led by Creative Director Ivan Thorley and based in the heart of Brighton & Hove, our creations span from the local to the global, making the world our stage.

ReadyAimFire (Advertising & Marketing)

ReadyAimFire delivers AAA live action production to the gaming industry and brands who speak to gamers. From idea to execution, we create TVCs and online content, blending live action, gameplay capture and VFX to craft premium video that moves audiences.

Recursive AV (Audio Visual Design)

Managing Director of Recursive, founded in the UK in 2012, with a global client base. We are a multi-disciplined design and development studio creating real-world experiences to tell your story and connect you with your audience.

Rove Knitwear (Fashion)

ROVE began in 2013 at a workstation set up around the kitchen table. The label was born from a desire to find quality, long lasting knitwear manufactured in Britain using British spun wool. The brand has evolved with the modern day need for sustainable, low impact clothing by offering organic, natural, recycled or biodegradable materials as well as a traceable production process.

Shooting Star Entertainment (Performing Arts)

Shooting Star Entertainments produces touring panto and educational theatre for Primary schools across the UK. Established in 2007, our aim was to make live theatre accessible for those who wouldn’t have the opportunity to go to the theatre.

Sussex Local Magazine (Advertising & Marketing)

Sussex Local is an independent community magazine founded in 2007 and delivered by Royal Mail to over 55,000 West Sussex homes each month. We also have a county-wide website offering additional news items and events which miss the magazine deadline.

The Modern Calligraphy Co. (Crafts)

As the leading Modern Calligraphers in the UK, we have pioneered this dynamic and expressive art form, teaching thousands of students, publishing 5 calligraphy books, running a subscription-based calligraphy club and creating large scale public artworks.

The Song School (Music)

The Song School exists to create communities for music making, accessible for everyone regardless of circumstances. The Song School wants to break down the barriers associated with learning music, including high tuition fees, access to instruments and practice spaces, plus create environments where all children and young people can thrive.

UK Manufacturing Media (Media)

ManufacturingTV is specialist media company that has developed a powerful reputation for producing high quality video content for and about the manufacturing sector: documentaries, panel discussions, news reports, company profiles, webinars.

Uniform 7 (Fashion)

School uniform and workwear supplier providing branded goods including embroidery and print. Also designing and bringing to manufacturer adaptive schoolwear for children with sensory and physical disabilities.

Vloop (Film & TV)

Since our inception, we’ve strived to deliver high quality video production services to all of our clients. Recruiting inclusively, we employ professional and experienced crew who each come with their own track records of delivering excellence.
