Meet our programme alumni!

The Create South East programme was launched in 2023 and has so far supported six cohorts and over 100 creative businesses in their growth journey. We hope to continue championing these businesses as they move on to their next steps, and look forward to seeing them thrive. Here is a run-down of some of the exceptional businesses that joined us for the programme from the Medway area.

Fleur de Lis Theatre develops classical era texts with a focus on the incorporation of advanced physical theatre skills, such as stage combat, puppetry, dance, mime and so much more. Alongside our productions, we deliver physical skills workshops within the public and private sector, in educational settings and for fellow artists to aid the enhancement and accessibility of education within the arts sector.

“Create South East has enabled us to put together an impressive pitch deck that we now feel confident to take to investors and sell the company to the best of our ability. The company’s comprehension of pitching and investment culture has improved vastly and we feel that the direction and trajectory of the business has never been clearer.”

Mrs Baker’s Medway Theatre Company Ltd specialises in site specific theatre inspired by history. Our commitment is to reach unconventional audiences in unusual places. Our ticketed offers include Medway Arts Tours – guided tours of Rochester & beyond, led by historically costumed characters. Our public health engagement work includes a Singalong for those living with COPD.

During the programme we gained insight into crowd-funding that has helped us to consider this source of funding for the first time. The programme has informed our collaborative working, both in Mrs Baker’s Medway Theatre Company and for the CIC of which Kate is also a co-director (Medway Play Lab CIC).”
